Classroom Bingo

Classroom Bingo is typically used in the following way. Students are given a bingo ticket as a classroom reward – perhaps for well completed assignment work or for good classroom behaviour.

Classroom Bingo tickets are produced from a word file which is provided with the game. Each student should have a ticket before starting the game.

The teacher then conducts a weekly bingo draw. Students circle numbers on their ticket as they are drawn. The first student to obtain five numbers in a row calls out "BINGO" and wins.

At this point the teacher can either check the students ticket then go to the prize board, or end the game (if they wish to omit the prize board).

The prize board is pre-set before playing the game. Typically teachers may use: chocolate frogs, pencil and ruler, house points, ten minutes free play on the IWB etc. for prizes.

Classroom Bingo is a great motivator for your students.

(Technical note: The prize board must be set on the same computer that will be used with the IWB in your classroom.)
